Position Overview
The Department of Family Medicine in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Research Assistant. This Fixed Short-Term Full-Time position is for approximately 3 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
This position reports to the Principal Investigator.
The research assistant will work under the guidance of the Primarly Investigator, primarily on the ENCOMPASS Project, with assistance provided to other projects as needed. The ENCOMPASS project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of community health workers on assisting patients with multiple chronic conditions improve access to their primary health care.
Position Description
Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):
Coordinating and carrying out research activities of key research studies in consultation with the principal investigator and the project coordinator
Under limited supervision, responsible for performing a range of research and coordination tasks in support of study objectives
Ensuring stakeholders are kept informed of the study’s progression
Assisting with applications (e.g., ethics, grants) and development of research protocols
Data collection
Assisting with interpretation and analysis of data collected
Assist with report writing, production of research papers suitable for publication, and support knowledge translation activities
