Position Overview
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Research Assistant. This Fixed Term Part-time position is for approximately 1 year (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
This position reports to Principal Investigator with accountabilities manager.
The project related to this position aims to create the Calgary Movement disorders Palliative Care program to guarantee access to this type of care to all Albertans and to expand the understanding of PC interventions in people with parkinsonism by a rigorous monitoring and evaluation process and cost-effectiveness analysis.
Following established procedures, the Research Assistant will assist in the implementation of the project. The Research Assistant will be responsible for contacting participants, conducting telephone interviews, and ensuring collected data is submitted in an accurate manner.
Position Description
Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):
Assist in the collection, delivery, entry, verification, management, analysis, and reporting of data
Questionnaire administration
Ensure relevant research methodology is applied and proper handling of all research material is used
Assist in the day to day operations
Ability to demonstrate assigned tasks are done on own initiative in a timely fashion and that results are beneficial to the success of the research project
