The Project Manager is a professional position supporting non-interventional clinical research at the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI). This position will oversee a variety of cancer research studies, ensuring appropriate processes are followed to launch and oversee the observational studies. This position will assist in identifying existing resources within the health system to support the research, and will serve as the liaison between the Principal Investigator(s) and the support service departments to outline project requirements and seek appropriate solutions. In addition to providing oversight of cancer research projects, the Project Manager will assist with the financial management and budget negotiations for the studies, support the development of other research proposals and/or grant submissions, support chart reviews and data entry for observational studies, provide recurring grant reporting and status updates to a variety of stakeholders, and other research-related activities at the CCI as required. This position will also partake in strategic discussions, looking to identify opportunities to coordinate research support across Cancer Care Alberta (CCA) as appropriate. While reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager within Clinical Outcomes Research, CCI, the Project Manager will also receive direction from the Principal Investigators overseeing the cancer research projects they are supporting and work closely with multiple other internal/external departments. Please be advised this position is currently under review to be included within a bargaining unit, as such terms and conditions associated with the position are subject to change.
