About Gastroenterology and Hepatology clinic:
Job Responsibilities (a brief list of the Clinical Assistants Duties Include the Following) :
– Providing support and services within professional teams under the direct or indirect supervision of a Physician
– Complete patient history and physical exam
– Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, ultrasounds, etc.)
– Prescribe medications
– Documenting patient care and compliance with quality standards
– Ordering and conducting medical investigations under the supervision of a Physician
– Assessing the condition and needs of a patient based on interviews, interactions, and observations
– Performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
– Ordering and interpreting patient laboratory and radiological results
– Completing any mandatory training outlined by their employer
Qualifications:
– Completion of a Clinical Assistant Program
– International Medical Graduate with extensive clinical assistant or independent practice experience
– EMR experience
– Provide standard of care according to the Canadian Health Care System
– Salary is negotiable based on experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
Schedule:
– 8 hour shift
– Monday to Friday
– No weekends
