About Shifa Medical Walk-in Clinic in South Edmonton
From common illnesses and injuries to pediatric care and internal medicine! Our family physicians and medical staff provide friendly care for patients of all ages. We offer our help with your prescription and medication needs as well as professional, friendly advice and services.
We support our patients with a full spectrum of health services. Shifa provides family practice, as well as occupational health and uninsured services. Shifa is a walk-in medical clinic (but it is recommended to call in to avoid longer wait times). Both male and female physicians are available.
About the Position
As a Physician Assistant, you are responsible for the following duties under the supervision of a physician:
– Provide direct patient care
– Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories
– Order and interpret basic diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
– Assist in minor procedures, such as wound care, suturing, casting, and applying splints
– Educate patients and their families on healthcare management and preventive measures
– Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
– Document patient encounters and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
– Participate in research activities and stay updated on current medical advancementsQualifications
– An International Medical Graduate with a medical degree
– Strong background in general practice with a focus on women’s health
– Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
– Good understanding of a multidisciplinary team and the roles and responsibilities of each member
– The ability to speak a second language is preferred, ideally Arabic
– Available Mondays to Saturdays between 2 pm to 9 pmJob Type: Full-time
