    – The Manager, Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Anti-Racism, will be a member of the provincial equity office and provides team leadership and operational leadership to advance and implement Ontario Health’s Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Anti-Racism framework team overseeing the implementation of equity framework at Ontario Health. Manager is responsible for managing multiple operational areas that have broad and varied scopes and diverse set of stakeholders. As part of this role, the Manager is accountable for the planning & administration of operations, management of resources, and engagement of key internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure operational/program activities are executed based on plans and standards, and within specified timelines and budgets.
    Here is what you will be doing:
    – Provide change leadership and operational management in collaboration with internal and external partners to implement Ontario Health’s equity, inclusion, diversity and anti-racism framework
    – Support Director to facilitate strategic and operational coordination and alignment of Ontario Health’s equity framework with Ontario Health’s strategic priorities, and program strategies
    – Develop and implement system to track multi-year plan
    – Tracking, monitoring, and reporting on the implementation of key deliverables across all corporate services, regional portfolios, and provincial programs across Ontario Health.
    – Champion equity, inclusion, diversity and anti-racism activities throughout the organization and develop networks between and among OH portfolios, OH Regions, health system partners, community partners and equity leaders.
    – Develop communications, including Briefing Notes for Board and executive leaders
    – Develop strong, collaborative working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
    – Oversees activities of direct and indirect reports, and consultants to ensure ongoing work quality and monitoring workloads.
    – Leading team of analysts to ensure initiatives are on time and on budget
    – Manages staff performance, career development, and succession planning activities, conducting performance reviews and ensuring the availability of skill development, coaching and training opportunities.
    – Develops strong, collaborative working relationships with staff across the organization to understand activities and issues and to identify opportunities to leverage resources, share information, and collaborate on initiatives and influence outcomes.
    – Represent and present on Ontario Health’s equity, inclusion, diversity and anti-racism activities at internal and external events, committees, and meetings.
    – Work with HR and other relevant departments and external experts and partners to facilitate leadership and team member access to high-quality training materials and resources to advance equity, inclusion, diversity, and anti-racism within Ontario Health
    – In coordination with the Director, determines the required frameworks, methodologies, and tools to execute on the operational/program plan
    – Oversees the day-to-day activities of multiple, large, and/or complex programs
    – Monitors operational/program performance; provides status updates and reports on metrics
    – Identifies improvement opportunities and escalates key issues/risks to the Director; proposes and executes solutions to address challenges or mitigate risks
    – Monitors budget across multiple, large, and/or complex operational areas/programs, and supports the Director in managing the overall budget
    – Manages a team of resources, including setting performance expectations; allocating work; overseeing and ensuring the quality of outputs; measuring/reporting on – Performance outcomes; and performance management
    – Manages relationships and engages a diverse set of stakeholder groups (internal and external), either to collaborate on delivery of key activities or solicit support and buy-in for operational/program activities; organizes and/or participates in committees as required
    – Where required, deals with vendors or contractors, including negotiating contracts, managing issues and ensuring agreements are met
    Here is what you will need to be successful:
    – Education and Experience
    – Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in relevant field
    – Three (3) years’ leadership experience
    – Three (3) years progressive experience successfully leading and managing teams in provincial agency or publicly funded, community-based setting
    – PMP or equivalent preferred
    – Health care experience preferred
    – Experience in managing large/complex operations and overseeing day-to-day operational activities
    – Knowledge and Skills
    – Expert organization skills
    – Demonstrated knowledge of anti-oppression, equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism frameworks, and application in organizational settings
    – Lived experience addressing complex, equity, diversity, and human rights issues
    – Strong project and operational management skills
    – Exceptional written and verbal communication and analytic skills, and demonstrated ability to tailor communication based on the audience, including executive leaders, colleagues, and external stakeholders
    – Ability to work effectively in a matrix working model. Including managing team members (including direct and indirect reports) that may be working remotely
    – Self-directed with a capacity for leading, implementing many complex, competing projects and initiatives in evolving and changing environment
    – Ability to lead and implement highly complex large-scale projects and change initiatives
    – Highly skilled in use of Office 365 applications
    – Experience with corporate planning and reporting an asset
    – Demonstrated written skills, including experience preparing reports, proposals and presentations for senior leaders
    – Lived experience as a member of an Indigenous and/or equity-deserving community is an asset.
    – Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
    – Salary Band: 7
    – Location: Ontario (currently hybrid; subject to change)
