Full Job Description:
CRISIS INTERVENTION WORKER
JOB TYPE: Relief (Call in weekdays, Nights and Weekends) 1 permanent relief and 1 temporary relief 12-18 months with potential for extension.
DUTIES: To provide front-line shelter services to women and children who are experiencing abuse.
QUALIFICATIONS:
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Thorough knowledge of existing community services and resources as relate to Intimate Partner Violence.
– This combination of knowledge and skills would be acquired through post secondary education and/ or experience in crisis intervention.
– Preference will be given to persons with a degree in social sciences and social work.
– Emergency First Aid, Non Violent Crisis Intervention training and bilingualism would be considered assets.

Job Types: Permanent, Fixed term contract, Casual
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: $30.15 per hour
