Overview:We are actively seeking to strengthen the support for our grassroots charity by bringing on board a highly organized and creative individual. This person will execute and create exciting fundraising events throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
– Event planning for both in-person and online fundraisers
– Communicate with adjacent teams
– Develop and execute detailed plans for events from start to finish
– Volunteer coordination
– Oversee marketing efforts related to events
– Express gratitude to donors through thank-you letters
– Lead event committees
– Develop and maintain documentation for future events
– Manage general tax receiptingThe Role:
– Full-time employment / annual wage of $55,000
– 2 weeks vacation plus paid time off between Christmas and New Years
– Reimbursement for mileageQualifications, Skills, and Experience:
– Non-profit sector experience
– Event coordination proficiency
– Demonstrated success in fundraising
– In-depth knowledge of social media platforms
– Established skill set in working with donor database software
– Confident in using Canva and Excel
– Ability to work independently
– Strong written and oral communication
– Capability to lift 50 lbs
– Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicleAbout Us:

Helping Families Handle Cancer assists families who have been referred by a Social Worker from Alberta Children’s Hospital.
