Functionally reporting to the Medical Director, you are an excellent communicator, actively listening, speaking and writing with clarity. These skills are especially important in your role at our clinic as you will be assessing and educating patients about various health conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patients and their family members. Within the clinic, you will also provide and coordinate patient care and will be an integral part of our team, coordinating and monitoring/assessing staff.
Job Responsibilities:
– Accurately document patient’s medical and lifestyle profiles and understand health plan development based on each individual patient’s profile
– Review patients’ charts for accuracy and completeness
– Be responsible for patient case management, including patient orientation, education, and clarification of health care instructions to ensure the patient understands sleep treatment plan
– Be aware of referrals and follow-up requirements for individual patients
– Perform other duties as needed, including vital signs assessment, booking patients, physician assistance, sleep therapy/cpap adjustments, CBTI Insomnia, etc.
– Maintain hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with healthcare procedures
– Contribute to a collaborative, respectful and team-based approach to patient care
Qualifications & Experience:
· Completed a three- or four-year Medical Doctor (MD) degree program at an accredited university locally or internationally, and/or currently in family medicine or specialty post-graduate training.
· For International Medical Graduates (IMG), must have passed at least one Canadian Medical Exam (QE1 or NACOSCE)
· Mastery of the English language and good communication skills
· Extracurricular activities – especially those reflecting public or health-related service, volunteer work, and other evidence of your initiative is an asset.
· Experience with JUNO EMR is an advantage
· Experience with Clinical Trials, or as a Clinical Research Coordinator preferred.
· Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
