Your Opportunity:
We are currently looking for Full Time Clinical Assistant to join our Psychiatry team at the St. Paul Healthcare Centre located in St. Paul, Northern Alberta.
Description:
As a Full Time, Psychiatric Clinical Assistant, you will work under the direction of Psychiatrists to provide assistance in the inpatient wards. Role: Possess comprehensive knowledge of current clinical assistant in Psychiatry theory and practice. Perform clinical interview including mental status examination and physical examination. Document clinical progress, order laboratory tests, prescribe and adjust medications upon advice of the Psychiatrist. Assist in treatment and discharge planning. Participate in group therapy sessions and family conferences. Attend rapid rounds. Assess and discuss management plan of the patients in the follow-up clinic. Collaborate effectively with all team members, inclusive of social workers, occupational therapist, psychiatric nurses, and pharmacists. Use critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Required Qualifications:
This is an alternate physician provider role in which the successful candidate will work with a limited medical license issued from the College of Physician and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA). Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in acute psychiatric care including treatment of children and youth.
Additional Required Qualifications:
