Position: AssociatePhysician
FTE: Full-Time Permanent
Department: Health PEI
Location: Any Health PEI Location, Prince Edward Island
Salary: $135,000 /Year
Start Date/ Term Length: Immediately
About The Position:
Newly introduced to our health system, Associate Physicians are now eligible for registration with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Prince Edward Island. The integration of Associate Physicians into our Island’s healthcare system is an exciting development in patient care, presenting a unique opportunity for Associate Physicians to contribute to the health and well-being of our community.

Associate Physicians on Prince Edward Island will work under the direction and/or delegation of the supervising physician. They will educate and follow-up with patient to ensure that the comprehensive management of each patient is fulfilled, and that patients and families are provided with high quality care. Medical procedures will be within the scope of the AP’s skill set and determined, in conjunction with, and under the direction of the supervising physician.

Health PEI has five Primary Care Networks across the province, with opportunities for Associate Physicians available in all networks. A fully integrated Electronic Medical Record is available in all regions of the province. Health PEI is a crown corporation responsible for the delivery of publicly funded health services in Prince Edward Island.
