Calgary Alternative Residential Services (CARS) at CASS is looking for an enthusiastic candidate for a small permanent part-time role within the residential program. As a Community Support Worker, you will support the client with achieving their goals, outreach, the pursuit of recreation and leisure/social activities, developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, supporting mental and physical health needs, and independent living skills, depending on the individual’s needs/desires.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and maintain composure in high-stress situations. They will be responsible for collaborating with the client’s support network and regularly reporting to the supervisor. Knowledge of community resources and a willingness to locate social and recreational opportunities in the community is an asset.
The hourly rate begins at $19.25/hour and will increase to $20.25 upon completing a successful probationary period (90 days), completing mandatory training, and submitting complete documents. The schedule for this role is flexible, 3 shifts per week, 3 hours per shift.
