    The Clinical Research Coordinator will assist the Principal Investigators (PIs) in coordinating and carrying out research activities related to the Canadian Neonatal Network (CNN), Evidence-based Practice Quality Improvement (EPIQ) & other research/ quality improvement activities. The Network includes collaborations between neonatal and perinatal programs in Canada and their multidisciplinary team members. It was developed to facilitate collaboration in research, integrated data collection, knowledge translation and to improve the quality of care and long-term outcomes of premature newborns cared for in neonatal intensive care units across the country.

    The position works within the research platforms team at the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute and reports to the Clinical Research Director. The Clinical Research Coordinator works collaboratively with investigators, study participants, health care providers and network sites in order to ensure safe and successful conduct of clinical research studies both locally and nationally. The position may provide a range of research support services, including (but not limited to) contract and ethics submissions, contract tracking, study setup and conduct, financial tracking and administrative functions regarding oversight of participating sites in national studies.
