Description

This is an information session regarding what AIMGP is, what to expect for the 2025 CaRMS Cycle and how AIMGA can support you through this application process.

Please note that only residents of Alberta may apply for AIMGP for the residency positions in Alberta. One of the options (Option C) requires IMGs to become residents of Alberta no later than December 1, 2023. Aside from having your Alberta Drivers License or Alberta Identity Card and your Alberta Personal Healthcare Card, you must demonstrate your presence in Alberta between December 1, 2023, and May 18, 2024. To receive a Community Organization Letter from AIMGA to meet Option C of the Residence in Alberta criteria for the AIMGP application, you MUST be an active member of AIMGA as of December 2023 and have attended our in-person events and/or visited our office in person. We cannot guarantee that you will meet the Option C of the Residence Requirement with our letter alone. We invite you to upload additional letters to strengthen this section of the application. We will further discuss this during our presentation.
