Have you heard about the Medical Communication Assessment Program (MCAP) at AIMGA and want to learn more about the benefits of this program for IMGs exploring licensure?

MCAP is designed for IMGs who are exploring licensure and who are looking to gain a greater understanding of patient/person-centred care and to further develop their communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients. This program is for IMGs who are exploring licensure via CaRMS or a Practice Readiness Assessment route. This program has been proven statistically to make a difference in increasing cultural competence, performance on the NAC, and an understanding of the underlying values of the Canadian system. This program has supported many IMGs in their successful integration into the Canadian healthcare system as a physician, resident, or Clinical Surgical Assistant or Physician Associate. The program is facilitated by both communication and medical educators. This program has been made possible by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and is therefore open to IMGs who have Permanent Resident status. As it is delivered online, it is open to IMGs across Canada. We will be accepting applications soon for this program.

Join this session to learn more about this program and hear experiences and stories from our current participants!

For questions and/or registration support please call us at 403-520-7730 or email Toju at toju@aimga.ca. We look forward to serving you!
