Translating Research in Elder Care (TREC) is a research program in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta (https//trecresearch.ca).

Position Summary

We are seeking a Research Assistant who be involved with a newly funded project to provide care aides in long-term care facilities with tools with which they can self-manage their stress. This is a two-pronged virtual intervention consisting of psychoeducation and a structured breathing technique, intended to decrease the stress and anxiety facing care aides working during COVID-19 pandemic. The Research assistant will be responsible for intervention delivery, and data collection. The Research Assistant will work under the direction of the Project Coordinator based in the Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta.

Duties

Interacting with participants and facilities including delivering virtual webinars, meeting and phone calls.
Assists in the analysis and collection of qualitative and quantitative process evaluation data (focus groups, interviews, surveys)
Supports team members with their communication and contacts with sites and receipt and dissemination of study materials.
Adheres to study protocol to deliver consistent quality intervention.
Interacts and communicates with stakeholders, investigators, team members on regular basis
Assists in the preparation of publications, posters, presentations, technical and dissemination reports and briefings for different stakeholder groups.
Maintains detailed records and fieldnotes.
