These sessions are facilitated by Dr. Bruce Fisher\, an experienced medica l educator from U of A.  The sessions will be offered online and therefor e focus on various case stems. Focus will be on taking an organized histor y\, the approach to the patient\, ethics\, professionalism\, communication \, and decision-making abilities as to how to proceed. Cases will be discu ssed based on most recent evidence and guidelines.\n\nThe 6 online session s will start on Tuesday\, June 16th and finish on Tuesday\, July 21st. \n \nThe program objectives are:\n\n to understand the exam objectives\, for mat\, and assessment criteria\n to increase clinical knowledge\, decision -making\, and management across a broad range of cases through discussion on current evidence\, practice and feedback\n to review specific tasks su ch as case presentations\, interpreting of results based on expected forma ts\n to enhance communication\, cultural and language skills relative to patient-centered care and the Canadian context\n to familiarize oneself w ith time frames allotted for demonstrating competencies\n\nSpaces are limi ted to 15 seats as per the instructor's request to allow for meaningful discussion\, practice\, and feedback. Therefore\, members may only regist er for one session (i.e. Tuesday group or Wednesday group or Friday gro up).
