As we are amid the third wave of the pandemic, it is important to take care of our mental health so that we can manage our everyday lives to our best abilities.

In this session, Dr. Salim Hamid will discuss his current work with patients impacted by the pandemic, the type of issues they are experiencing, the signs and symptoms of concern, and when professional help is necessary. Furthermore, we will explore various practices in which we can maintain and/or improve our mental health and wellbeing, and those around us, during this difficult time.

Dr. Hamid is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist in his own private practice located in the Elite Professional Building in Calgary, where works alongside other psychiatrists, family physicians, and a pharmacist. Dr. Hamid is also a Clinical Assistant Professional at the University of Calgary and an examiner for the LMCC exams for over 15 years. Dr. Hamid has a passion for helping IMGs and is currently one of our directors at AIMGA. During his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
