Description

CBT is a form of therapy that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of numerous mental health conditions including adjustment disorders, anxiety and depression. It emphasises how our thoughts influence our emotions and behavior. A major aim of CBT is to learn skills to recognize and adjust unhelpful patterns of thinking so that we may engage in more adaptive behaviors. In this lunch and learn, participants will gain an introduction to basic CBT skills that they can implement in their personal lives to promote wellness and wellbeing.
Joel Mader, Registered Psychologist will lead this session. Joel has a Master of Counselling Psychology and extensive experience working in the addictions and mental health field
