Description

AIMGA is hosting an online info session with the Edmonton Public Library (EPL). The EPL is a public funded library system in the city of Edmonton, Alberta and is available to any member of the public. Library cards are free to all Edmontonians. EPL currently has 21 branches across the city.

Besides being able to borrow books, EPL offers a range of services which includes online classes for all ages, book clubs, resources for newcomers, Forward Thinking Speaker Series and an extensive Digital Library. The Digital Library houses hundreds of digital resources including online tools for every age and every aspect of your life, including art, music, and literature, consumer reports and business needs, history and genealogy, job search and careers, entertainment, language learning, and news and current events.

Please join librarian Christy Travis who is a Community Librarian. She obtained her MLIS in 2007 from the University of Alberta and has worked at EPL for 12 years.

During this session she will guide you on how you are able to access resources:

  • for IELTS and medical licensure examinations
  • resources for job seekers
  • other services for those with children and/or would like to start a business
  • how to access other EPL services

This session will be held via Zoom and the link will be sent to you prior to the start of this session.

Please log in to the AIMGA website to register for this session.

If registration is full, please email tisha@aimga.ca to be placed on the waitlist.
