Join us for a (late) Lunch and Learn about Bredin Centre for Career Advancement Microloans. Bredin Centre in partnership with Servus Credit Union, provides low interest lending for internationally educated professionals.
The Servus-Bredin Microloans for Professional Newcomers program provides loans of up to $15,000 to support professional newcomers with costs related to pursuing licensure and accreditation in Canada, including:
• Exam fees
• Licensing cost
• Professional fees
• Skills upgrading and pathway program
• Books, study materials, a laptop and work equipment
• Education and training programs of two years or less
• English language training as a pre-requisite for your studies
This session will be presented by Sahar Ghanem. Sahar works as the program coordinator for the Servus-Bredin Microloans for Newcomer Professionals program. Her role includes assessing clients for eligibility and helping eligible clients to create an accreditation plan that enables them to meet their goals for professional licensure and employment
