Mentorship

OVERVIEW

The mentorship program under Alberta International Medical Graduates Association (AIMGA) is developed for internationally trained medical graduates (IMGs) who would like to develop professional knowledge-sharing relationships, expand their networks, and collaborate with other physicians both fellow members of AIMGA and those in practice in Canada who could provide support as they embark the complex Canadian healthcare system.

The goal is to facilitate interactions (virtual or in-person) wherein the mentor and mentee can share their unique stories while gaining new perspectives about the licensing process, finding a job in healthcare, settling in Canada, achieving goals, and overcoming challenges

Mentors are knowledgeable healthcare professionals who are passionate in sharing their expertise and experiences with their fellow colleagues.

For more information, please contact our Mentorship Coordinator, Albert at albert@aimga.ca.
