Kelly Allen-PitchkoParticipantReporting to the Principal Investigator, the Research Coordinator will work in the Neurocognitive Disorders Research Laboratory and assist in carrying out a program evaluation of interventions for adults with ADHD offered by the CanLearn Society in Calgary, AB. This position works Monday to Friday, but on occasion, there may be the need to work outside of regular hours to accommodate participant schedules or recruitment opportunities.
Position Description
Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):
Provide a contact point for individuals participating in the program evaluation, orient them to the study environment and liaise with CanLearn Program Coordinators as needed
Assist with participant consent, survey completion and follow-up
Assist the Principal Investigator in identifying other scientific publications (e.g., in PubMed) relevant to this work
Work with the Principal Investigator to prepare research summaries to share within the University of Calgary, CanLearn, and broader scientific communities elsewhere
Participate in the creation of testing materials (e.g., questionnaires) under the direction of the supervisor
Liaise with the Principal Investigator’s research collaborators to facilitate data sharing
Update and trouble-shoot any issues that arise with the Qualtrics online research portal
Regularly extract the data from Qualtrics for secure storage on UCalgary servers
Qualifications / Requirements:Background knowledge of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults
No minimal education requirement, but undergraduate degree in psychology or related field would be an asset
High degree of computer literacy (e.g., knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, SPSS, and online search databases)
Experience and proficiency using Qualtrics
Proficiency with research software for referencing (e.g., Mendeley) and statistics (e.g., SPSS)
Experience navigating academic journal databases
Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
No previous lab experience required, but this would be an asset
Experience working with patient populations is an asset
