The key role of the I3 research coordinator is to coordinate research activities associated with the design, collection, management, analysis, translation, and publication of research projects. The research coordinator will act as a liaison between team members and will support the attainment of research milestones and objectives in accordance with established timelines. For more specific information on our research checkout our website at http://www.ucalgary.ca/siprc

The research coordinator will deal with complex issues requiring excellent time management, the ability to adapt to continuous changes and shifting in priorities and the ability to learn new technologies and techniques as needed with little or no direction. The Coordinator will need to facilitate communication between various team members, community partners, research stakeholders, and the public. The successful candidate decisions will contribute to the success of the outcome of the projects.

There should not be any dangerous conditions. There may be stress related to work in an environment of ambiguity, a diverse workload, shifting priorities, management of research staff, short timelines related to meeting grant deadlines, and timely completion of research tasks. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to determine priorities and deadlines independently, make decisions and problem solve, demonstrate flexibility in reorganizing work plans to deal with urgent and time sensitive matters on an ongoing basis and will provide input to improvements and change surrounding processes for the research team.
