This position is part of the ALS Research Program at the University of Alberta. The candidate will work under the supervision of Research Coordinators and the Principal Investigators in the program on a variety of studies. The candidate will assist in the general research operations of the program, which has a focus on clinically oriented research, including multi-centre studies and clinical trials. The candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills to assist with a wide range of clinical research activities.

Duties

Assists with the recruitment of study subjects, including the completion of screening, consent, case report forms and safety reports
Administers study questionnaires and compiles responses; participates in other data-gathering processes as required
Coordinates subject research visits
Organizes hard copy and computer files from medical records to local database
Records, accesses and transfers data from medical records to local database
