The Department of Medicine in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Research Assistant. This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 11 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
This position reports to the Principal Investigator.
This position will mainly work out of the Gastrointestinal Clinic at the University of Calgary Medical Clinics located in the Foothills Hospital. There will also be collaboration with satellite sites related to this grant and third party health care professionals. There may have to be some flexibility in working hours throughout the day depending on clinic times.
A CIHR funded study to follow a cohort of people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) for one year who are serotyped for antibodies for COVID-19 in order to determine infection rates, susceptibility to reinfection, and risks of severe complications from COVID19 and flaring of their IBD.
This is a materinity leave replacement position.
