As part of this dynamic team, they will provide support to CR&A leadership implementing strategic priorities and assist with gathering scientific evidence to inform decision-making (i.e. environmental scans, literature reviews, data reports). They will also support the knowledge synthesis and dissemination of key research findings and accomplishments. Among other duties, they will also assist with the identification and dissemination of relevant cancer research funding opportunities and maintain an understanding of existing cancer (and other health administrative) data to support the development of funding proposals and grant requests that align with CR&A strategic priorities. In addition, the Research Assistant will support the development of CR&A funding proposals and ensure grant progress reports are submitted to funding organizations in a timely and efficient manner. They will track CR&A research-related outputs and coordinate the development of CR&A dashboard reports to monitor and evaluate progress. They will also support invoicing of research studies to ensure expenses are recovered when applicable. The Research Assistant will also receive training on Connect Care and support the transition of cancer research projects into Connect Care for Wave 5 as necessary.
