CILISAT Exam Prep Course

AIMGA is offering a free online CILISAT Preparation Course for eligible Cohort 3 PNP Participants. The Community Interpreter Language and Interpreting Skills Assessment Tool (CILISAT) is a provincially recognized testing system that allows potential interpreters to acquire professional accreditation and certification in 50 different languages. Taking this application exam is one of the requirements to become a “Certified Medical Interpreter” and having this certification will add to your resume immensely.

The requirements to write the CILISAT exam are the following:
– Pass CISOC exam
– Speak one of the select languages that they support testing in (look at their website to check)
– Be available from 9:00am-1:00pm on Feb. 24, Mar 2, Mar 9, and Mar 16 online

The CILISAT facilitator will be booking 15 minute time slots with all course participants to assess fluency levels. It is NOT an assessment, just a brief conversation with the facilitator before the program starts to learn more about you and your language level and background. Please select ALL available dates and time frames you are available for and based on this, we will schedule you a 15 minute time slot.
